A useful fit for

['A 120 V buyer who wants the specifically named solar panel package with one 3,584 Wh station.', 'Someone who can deploy and store the large fold-out panel and follow the station current and voltage limits.', 'A buyer who understands the panel rating is not guaranteed station input power or an AC-runtime estimate.']

The main tradeoff

The named 500 W SolarSaga 500 X panel is included, but its Imp is at the 12 A station-port ceiling with ±5% tolerance and its Isc is above 12 A. Treat the advertised package as the manufacturer-selected option, not a promise of full panel rating into the station.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you want the exact SolarSaga 500 X panel in the selected package?

SKU 60-360050-US00073 includes one JS-500A; its 500 W label is panel nameplate, not station harvest.

Must all supplied panel ratings be inside every current limit?

JS-500A Imp sits at the 12 A per-port ceiling with tolerance and Isc exceeds that figure; strict full-rating compatibility is not established.

Is a separate expansion battery essential?

The one-panel bundle does not include a Battery Pack 3600; its battery remains 3,584 Wh.

This package combines one HomePower 3600 Plus JHP-3600A with one SolarSaga 500 X panel under U.S. SKU 60-360050-US00073. It is the one-station solar option: the panel does not change battery capacity, AC output or the station’s expansion limit. The selected-option product rendering shows the station with a folded panel; it is manufacturer CGI, not a photograph of an independently tested unit.

A 500 W panel does not make a 500 W promise

The HomePower station is rated for 3,584 Wh, 3,600 W of 120 V AC output and 7,200 W surge. Its separate five-outlet layout includes four ordinary receptacles and a 120 V TT-30 outlet, with the total shared AC rating still 3,600 W. The SolarSaga 500 X is a separate 500 W nameplate panel; it does not make the station a 500 W solar-only device or add capacity. The station’s solar limit is 1,000 W total, with two parallel DC8020 inputs at 16–60 V and 12 A each. The system can accept less than a panel’s STC rating depending on sun, angle, temperature and input limits.

Jackery’s U.S. manual supplied with this family has a multi-model solar section: although an earlier cover section identifies SolarSaga 85, its U.S. English section explicitly identifies SolarSaga 500 X, model JS-500A, and provides its own electrical ratings. That table gives 500 W ±5% STC, 41.7 V maximum-power voltage and 12.0 A maximum-power current ±5%; it also lists 13.02 A short-circuit current ±5%. The rated operating current sits at the station port’s 12 A ceiling and its tolerance can exceed it. This bundle is manufacturer-listed, but a strict “all supplied panels stay below every input limit at their full published rating” need is not confirmed. Do not promise 500 W into the station or assume the station’s behavior at the panel’s current limit.

Useful solar, with an exact wiring plan

The manual and support page say one or two panels can connect with the included cable; four panels are supported only with the specified adapters. The station’s two inputs are parallel, not independent trackers. When both are used, the number and model of panels on each port must be consistent; three panels are not supported, and a 100 W panel on one input with a 200 W panel on the other is not a valid matching array. Jackery also says not to charge from a vehicle and solar simultaneously. Wall and solar charging can be combined. This one-panel package is simpler than building an array, but the owner still needs to follow the supplied connection instructions rather than assume every connector in the box is a station-side cable.

A single SolarSaga 500 X is a sizable fold-out item: its manual lists roughly 10.5 kg and an unfolded footprint about 2.5 by 1.0 m. Paired with a 35 kg wheeled station, this is a campsite or property setup that benefits from space and a stable sun position, not a compact backpacking kit. The manual’s panel weather rating does not make the power station itself waterproof or dustproof; protect the station and its connections from rain and grit.

Storage and transfer behavior stay the same

With the 500 X panel but no expansion battery, the system still has a 3,584 Wh battery. Jackery says the station supports up to five Battery Pack 3600 units, but none is included in this SKU. If your priority is overnight energy rather than daytime replenishment, the one-pack option has a different advantage. If you need 240 V, the double-station kit is the relevant configuration, not this panel bundle.

Jackery’s support page gives a conservative UPS transfer of up to 20 ms and says the unit is not a 0 ms UPS. The manual likewise cautions against devices that require true zero-interruption transfer and caps bypass output at 1,440 W/12 A. The package is not a substitute for a professionally selected backup system for sensitive servers or essential medical loads. Also confirm that your appliances’ start-up and continuous draw fit within the station’s total rating.

Choose this bundle when one specific 500 X panel and one high-capacity 120 V station are useful together, and accept that sunlight and input limits determine harvest. The base SKU is lighter on included hardware; the two-200 W package supplies a different panel configuration; the 7.2 kWh 500 X bundle combines storage and solar but is much heavier. Keep the actual package SKU in view: their similar title and station photo hide materially different contents.
