Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Must one 500 W SolarSaga 500 X be included?
The exact SKU includes one 500 W nameplate JS-500A panel; the charging lead is not separately itemized in its box list.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you need MTS or expansion battery in this order?
The solar-only SKU includes neither the MTS nor a JBP-3600A pack.
Explore this need in the finder →Is strict full-range panel current compatibility established?
No. Panel Imp is 12.0 A ±5% while the station port is limited to 12 A; the upper tolerance exceeds that number.
Explore this need in the finder →The HomePower 3600 Pro Max + 500W offer is a one-station solar package: JHP-3600C SKU 21-0001-000430 paired with one SolarSaga 500 X, selected under U.S. package SKU 60-360050-US00472. It adds a panel to the 3,584 Wh / 4,000 W station, but not an expansion battery, manual transfer switch or 40A cable. The exact box listing names the panel and AC charging cable; it does not spell out every DC lead. Check the delivered box and selected option for the charging cable required to reach the station input rather than assuming the station's optional accessory list is included wholesale.
One-panel recharge plan
The station accepts solar through two parallel DC8020 inputs, each rated 16–60 V and 12 A, with a combined ceiling of 24 A / 1,200 W. SolarSaga 500 X is model JS-500A and carries a 500 W ±5% STC label with 41.7 V ±5% Vmp and 12.0 A ±5% Imp. This nominal voltage fits the station's solar range, but the panel's stated current tolerance meets the station's per-input ceiling at its edge; neither the panel nameplate nor 1,200 W station ceiling guarantees actual output. Sun angle, shade, temperature, cable setup and conversion losses affect harvest. Jackery's manual says equal panel model and quantity must be used across the two channels and documents matching-panel counts rather than mixing the inputs. No daily recharge promise follows from the package's “500W” name.
The bundle contains one panel, not two. If your planned load demands a reliable solar refill, ask what usable sunlight, panel placement and station charging cable you actually have, and leave a shortfall margin. The panel alone cannot run household loads through the station when the battery is empty if the charging path is not connected and the conditions are poor. The 500 W rating is a laboratory nameplate, not an output meter or a guarantee that the station will draw 500 W throughout a day.
AC capability and installation are unchanged
The JHP-3600C's two NEMA 5-20R ports supply 120 V at up to 2,000 W per port, 4,000 W total; its NEMA 14-50R supports 240 V at up to 4,000 W. The manufacturer lists 8,000 W as a surge peak. Do not add the two outlets' labels as a promise that every appliance starts, and do not read the NEMA 14-50 name as 50 A of battery output. Battery nameplate capacity is not delivered AC energy, and no specific runtime is guaranteed here. The panel does not increase the inverter rating, add a second battery or provide a house-panel connection.
For selected home circuits, a manual transfer switch is a different package. The manufacturer warns that transfer-switch installation requires a qualified electrician and compliance with applicable requirements. This 500W-only package does not include that switch or the 40A charging cable. The station's 10 ms UPS claim is a maker-stated figure, and its manual expressly excludes zero-ms devices; test any sensitive equipment rather than treating “UPS” as a measured guarantee. With 120 V input, bypass is limited to 1,440 W, distinct from the 4,000 W battery-mode AC ceiling.
Package-specific match and alternatives
Choose this variant when one included 500 W SolarSaga panel is a real requirement and an electrician-installed home transfer switch is not. The finder should retain it for “panel in the box,” a 500 W included-panel floor or a 240 V need; it should reject it for a required included MTS, one expansion battery or a 7,000 Wh-plus plan. The standalone station makes more sense if you already have compatible solar hardware and want to avoid duplicating a panel. The 500W+MTS bundle adds the home-circuit switch and cable but has the same one-panel and one-battery station limits. A battery-included kit addresses duration; it does not change the station's solar input, output voltage or inverter rating.
